Summer is always busy with lots of little "things" going on. Always hot, and always a good time!

Garrett's awesome cousin Nolan graduated from the MBA program here at ASU - congrats Nols!

Garrett's high school friend Michael married my high school friend Nikki (those Dixie boys sure love them some Snow Canyon girls... ) in St. George so up we went for the celebrations. Garrett and 'the boys' took advantage of a round of golf that morning. Here are the cute guys!

I had breakfast with some of the high school girls - we forgot to take a shot before Loni left! And we missed Lis and Nikelle... look at us all - mommas in the making!

Went to Ogden for July 4th and spent all our time soaking up family. Love this shot at Grandpa Messerly's chicken BBQ - the background content is the best.

The Messerlys have a tradition of building rockets and setting them off, all the kids chase after the pieces and they repeat the process over and over. Here's Jax, Garrett's brother, with his creation. It was ENORMOUS!

And I just love this. Garrett has such a way of making kids crack up and smile, Andrew laughed for a good 20 minutes! I don't know how Garrett does it but I'm sure glad he's got the nack!

Happy kid!

Went to "the Oaks" with the Stauffer side of the family and ate waaaay too much as usual. It was SOOO nice to sit outside in the middle of summer and enjoy the weather. I don't even remember what that's like! Phoenix doesn't really offer that luxury haha.

Last weekend we were in George again for "the heat stroker". A softball tournament tradition where Garrett and some of his best old buddies get together and enter as a team. The tournament goes all night long Friday, takes a break Saturday afternoon and picks up again Saturday night. They played till 6am Sunday morning! I had to throw this shot in of Garrett of the skirt and bonnet - it was a new tradition the team brought to the table this year. It's easy to see they have a blast.

"the bellies"
I think this girl and I have her daddy beat.
I would have posted about the family reunion with my side of the family... but I don't have any pictures of it because I let my mom be the designated photographer all week. I would just like to say it was awesome, and I am so lucky to have such a close-knit-fun-filled-family.
There was a bunch of other cool stuff we've done, but I'm done blogging now.
