Another weekend apart.

Garrett and I were married on a Saturday, had a quick honeymoon, were back to school and baseball practice by Tuesday, and Garrett played in a game the next Friday. Before that weekend I had never stayed through a whole baseball game, much less ever watched what the players were doing, so needless to say I had an immediate "change of life interests" with a huge new focus on sports.

After three years of baseball seasons I have learned to love baseball, and after half of Garrett's games being on the road I made him promise he would never leave me alone at night again!

Fat chance.

So a few weeks ago my school had baseball tickets to the Diamond Backs for cheap, and of course I bought a pair. Then we found out Garrett had a camping trip with the boys at church. So he went camping and I went to a baseball game without him. It felt so weird!

Here we are without Garrett but we held up just fine. In respect for Garrett I spent most of the night teaching the girls about baseball like my hubby has done for me the last 3 years. I'm graduated past "there are three strikes and four balls..." to "the batter can run on a third-strike-dropped-ball..." Seriously it's advanced. Kim.. Dani.. Sherri.. Bri... you know what I mean.

All in all the night was fun and Garrett had a blast camping. I missed him like crazy and made him promise once again that he'll never leave over night again. Even Sammy cries and stares at the garage door when he's gone!

Wow! You give me hope that I can get into the swing of things in the sports world too! Jay's big thing is golf. He'd love it if I'd play some golf with him. I need to follow your good example and get interested in my honey's sport interest!! haha! Those are cute pics there. looks like you all had a great time! You and Garrett are such a cute couple!

We actually went to a Tampa Bay Rays game a few days ago and I did that kind of exaplaining to my family. I love that I can teach about baseball from my experiences with watching my husband!
